Even though Sempatap Thermal (magic wallpaper) is classed as a DIY product by the manufacturer, as indeed it can be, we have found that many a person that is used to hanging wallpaper cannot hang Sempatap due to its weight, and non forgiving nature. It should also be noted that if it is fitted to the wall in the proper manner, there is only one chance at getting it fitted correctly. There is very little slide unlike wallpaper, and Sempatap cannot normally be re-used when removed from a wall.

We do like to bring it to people’s attention that if you hang Sempatap incorrectly and have to lose a piece, it will cost you to replace the piece; if we make a mistake we pay for the replacement not you our valued customer. It should also be noted that a full roll of Sempatap Thermal is approx. the equivalent in weight of a half filled wheelie bin, and 1mtr high. The product requires storing on end or it can crush and be rendered useless if stored on its side, and must be stored in a dry area with the adhesive and sealant being stored in the same area but at a temperature not below 5 degrees Celsius or the adhesive will be of no use.

When fitting Sempatap, the room temperature requires to be at a moderate temperature to allow the adhesive to start to cure faster or else the larger pieces of Sempatap is likely to slide down the wall or drop from the ceiling under its own weight .

It Has 2 Be Done Ltd can help to reduce the condensation on your walls or in your loft conversion, by fitting a 10mm or 5mm thermal lining directly to the inside of the room, this has the effect of stopping the warm moist air from touching the cold wall thus, reducing the chances of condensation forming and leading to the growth of black mould.

The lining should be hung after the walls have had the correct treatment against mould, this will further reduce the risk of a return of the problem.

We also fit sempafloor to any flooring surface in order to help reduce coldness rising through the floor and carpet. Sempafloor acts similar to an underlay and carpets can be laid straight on top. The added benefits from sempafloor and / or sempatap on the walls and if required on the ceilings are immediately noticeable after fitting.

By using sempatap thermal insulation the temperature of the treated rooms will rise slightly allowing the temperature to be turned down on the heating, thus saving you some money from heating bills. Of course this will also have a knock on effect by helping to reduce carbon emissions, this alone will not save the planet, but it is a step in the right direction.
